About Dr. Painter
Dr. Painter is a licensed psychologist who earned her doctoral degree from Colorado State University. She has over 20 years of experience, and her clinical work focuses on serving children, adolescents, parents/caregivers, and families, providing therapy services and psychological evaluations. She also works with adults, particularly those experiencing family-related difficulties, anxiety, and/or phase of life changes.
While Dr. Painter enjoys working with a wide variety of presenting issues, she has special interest in treating anxiety (e.g., generalized anxiety, panic, selective mutism, school anxiety/refusal, obsessive-compulsive disorder), trichotillomania, behavior and attention disorders, depression, parenting difficulties, and other family-related problems (parenting concerns, effectively navigating separation/divorce). She also works with adults experiencing anxiety (e.g., generalized anxiety, panic, OCD, etc.) and phase of life changes (launching young adults, life post-divorce, relationship issues, empty nest). In addition, Dr. Painter has expertise working with individuals on the autism spectrum and others who also experience social skills deficits. She is the author of Social Skills Groups for Children and Adolescents with Asperger's Syndrome: A Step-by-Step Program.
